Club Charter and Code of Conduct

Introduction

Totton Squash and Racketball Club is a friendly members club dedicated to promoting the participation in Squash and Racketball, from juniors and beginners through to elite competitive standards. Our club is founded on the principles of respect, inclusiveness, and responsible behaviour, and we expect all members and guests to uphold these values.

 

Purpose

The purpose of this code of conduct is to provide guidelines for acceptable behaviour within the Totton Squash and Racketball Club therefore ensuring that they will not disturb or impair the use and enjoyment of the Club by any other person. This code applies to all members, including committee members, guests, coaches, volunteers, and participants in club activities and events.

 

Vision

To promote and encourage the development of non profit making community squash and racketball in a friendly but competitive environment. Promoting the sport within the local community and introducing new people of all ages and backgrounds.

Code of Conduct

 

  1. Respect: Members and guests are expected to treat one another with respect, dignity, and consideration. This includes refraining from using inappropriate language, discriminatory behaviour, or physical or verbal abuse.

  2. Inclusiveness: Totton Squash and Racketball Club is committed to promoting an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and valued. Members and guests are expected to support and respect the diversity of all members and guests, regardless of their abilities, backgrounds, or beliefs.

  3. Responsibility: Members are responsible for their actions and for upholding the rules and regulations of the club. This includes following the guidelines for safe and healthy behaviour, as well as being accountable for any damages caused to property.

  4. Health and Safety: Members and guests are expected to follow all guidelines for safe and healthy behaviour, including using equipment properly.

 

Sanctions

Members who violate this code of conduct may face disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or revocation of membership.
